History
In July of 1996 IAT incorporated with corporate offices in Spokane, Washington. The company was established with two operating divisions. The first division operates as a contractor to provide water treatment and chemical cleaning of water systems in commercial, institution and industrial new construction. The second division operates as a manufacturer's representative and distributor for water purification and chemical feed equipment. The company operates in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
The construction division provides the specialized service of chemically cleaning all closed hydronic loops, open cooling tower circuits and steam- condensate systems. After the systems have been cleaned, strainer screens removed, cleaned and replaced, pump start-up screens removed the loop is charged with the operating heat transfer fluid. Typically the operating fluid is water with chemical corrosion inhibitors added or demineralized water mixed with an inhibited glycol.
The sales division of IAT covers many different industries and they range from pulp & paper, lumber/sawmills, food processors, restaurants, hospitals, colleges/universities, refineries, dairy, high tech and wineries. We provide service on equipment and systems in our scope of work. Companies IAT has represented since 1996 include Lutz-Jesco, Cargill Salt, J.L. Wingert, Unity Equipment Systems, Bruner, LMI, Pulsafeeder, Lakewood, Osmonics, Trojan Technologies, and Zero Gravity Filters. In July of 2000 IAT began manufacturing an automatic glycol feed system. This feed package has been put into engineers specifications and has been sold throughout the Northwest.
IAT also works as a consultant to mechanical engineering firms in developing specifications for water treatment systems for cooling towers, boiler and domestic water systems for commercial, industrial and institutional projects.
